Lina is a Chilean Scottish American cinematographer and documentary filmmaker hailing from the Washington, DC metro area.

She recently graduated from Boston University with a B.S. in Film & TV. Her passion for filmmaking takes her not just to countless film sets in a myriad of grip, electric, and camera roles, but also across the world. In 2025, Lina flew to Xinjiang, China to make “Closest to the Heart,” a documentary short about a Kazakh-Chinese accordion player which was recognized by the DGA.

A devoted diva lover, Lina is excited about bringing queer and female-led stories to life — in production, post-production, and beyond. When she’s not shooting, Lina edits and colors film projects, dabbles in lighting design for musical theater, and enjoys writing video essays about her favorite classic films.

Lina holds triple citizenship in the US, UK, and EU (Italy). She is available (and loves) to travel worldwide.
